I sent an assignment or password change request and WebFace responded with something like:
"Messages sent to WebFace should normally be sent in reply to messages from WebFace, and should therefore automatically have the correct address. For example, an assignment submission must be addressed to:
WebFace-ASS <websub@mugca.its.monash.edu.au>
and not just to:
websub@mugca.its.monash.edu.au
since the automated mail processing looks for the WebFace-ASS code to work out what to do with it." This is a known problem where your email software removes part of the address which WebFace requires to authenticate the returned item. One solution you can try is, after you select Reply to in your email package, remove the contents of the TO: entry (which will in all probability be websub@mugca.its.monash.edu.au) and replace the address with one of the following, be sure to type them exactly as shown (or do a copy and paste):
To register a password change:
WebFace-ASE <websub@mugc.its.monash.edu.au>
To submit an assignment (this must be in reponse to a cover sheet you have been sent):
WebFace-ASS <websub@mugc.its.monash.edu.au>
Submission via FTP is also available now.
- Can I use different cover sheets, for example one from work and one from home?
- Can I resubmit a file or do I need to send all files again?
- Why does my recorded submission time appear to be incorrect?
- What does it mean if WebFace responds with 'Messages sent to WebFace should normally be sent in reply to..'
