Thesis Allowance for HDR Students

If similar assistance is not available from any other sources such as APA/MGS Thesis Allowance, each HDR candidate of GSIT will be eligible for the following GSIT Thesis Allowance:

  • Subject to the production of original receipts/tax invoices, a candidate may claim reimbursement of up to $400 for a masters thesis and up to $800 for a PhD thesis towards the cost of the professional proof reading and binding of the final versionof the thesis.
  • The applicant must submit detailed costing, including the names and contact details of the professional proof readers and binders to the Director of Research,through the main supervisor, prior to engaging any professional support to finalthesis preparation. Failing to comply with this condition will result in noreimbursement.
